The Bahrain Women Union participated in a training course entitled “The Path to Institutional Excellence,” delivered by Mr. Nidal Salman Al Banna. During the course, he presented the experience of the Isa Town Charity and Social Society as a successful model of institutional transformation and sustainability, highlighting its continuous development through strategic planning and organized institutional work.
The course explored the importance of establishing a strong institutional approach as the foundation for ensuring organizational continuity and enabling institutions to fulfill their missions and serve the community efficiently. It emphasized that institutional excellence is not limited to having policies, regulations, and procedures in place, but is reflected in the effectiveness of systems and the sustainability of achievements, ensuring continuity despite changes in management or personnel.
The speaker also highlighted the importance of investing in human resources, transferring knowledge, delegating responsibilities, and building teams capable of sustaining progress and achieving results. In addition, he emphasized the need for clear strategic plans and the measurement of initiatives’ impact through figures and performance indicators to achieve organizational goals and ensure sustainable outcomes.
The course also showcased several initiatives and projects implemented by the Isa Town Charity and Social Society, emphasizing that a project’s success is not measured solely by its implementation, but by its ability to continue, evolve, and generate a lasting positive impact on the community.
Furthermore, the course addressed the key pillars of institutional success, including governance, systems and regulations, executive teams, media, technology, partnerships, and volunteer work. These elements were presented as interconnected factors that contribute to improving institutional performance and enhancing organizational efficiency.
The Bahrain Women’s Union’s participation in this course reflects its commitment to developing institutional capabilities and benefiting from successful experiences in strategic planning and sustainability. This supports the advancement of administrative practices and strengthens the role of institutions in serving the community and achieving their objectives efficiently and sustainably.
