The Union participates in a regional conference on gender discrimination.

Ms. Farida Darwish, Vice President of the Bahrain Women Union, Ms. Maryam Al-Ruwaie, President of the Excellence Center for Development, Ms. Naima Al-Samak, a member of the Bahraini Countryside Girl Association, Ms. Naima Marhoon and Ms. Ibtisam Marhoon from the Bahraini Women’s Association participated in the regional conference to present and discuss a number of research papers on discrimination issues, in coordination with the Jordanian Women’s Union and the Ro’ya Network, From December 9 to 11, 2024, at the Hilton Hotel in Amman, Jordan, the conference included six main sessions. Topics covered included early marriage, divorce, custody, guardianship, and alimony. Several Arab countries participated in the conference, including the Kingdom of Bahrain, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, Palestine, Morocco, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, and Sudan.
