The Union participates in the launch of the report on the progress made in Arab countries, in accordance with the Beijing +30 Declaration and Platform for Action.

At the Arab Women's Civil Society Network event, which included the launch of the parallel regional report to assess the progress made in the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action in the Arab region, the event, which was held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Sheraton Hotel in Amman, Jordan, included: The meeting discussed six main axes that form the basic framework for the platform for achieving gender equality and empowering women and girls. The axes addressed several topics related to women's rights and empowerment, as well as patterns of discrimination against women and girls. The axis of eradicating poverty was also discussed, as well as removing obstacles to women's participation in public and private life. The sixth axis included promoting gender equality in all policies and programs.
A number of Arab countries participated in this conference, including Bahrain, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, Palestine, Egypt, Yemen, Iraq, and Morocco.
